About our doctor
Dr. Bason was born in Scottsdale, Arizona and moved to Prescott in 1999, graduating from Prescott High School in 2002. She attended Yavapai College for her Associate’s degree and Northern Arizona University for her Bachelor’s degree. During her time in Prescott, Dr. Bason worked as a Kennel Assistant and then Veterinary Technician for Granite Mountain Veterinary Hospital, then owned by Dr. Szekely. She moved to Pullman, Washington to attend Veterinary School at Washington State University, but quickly made her way back to Northern Arizona. She had always kept in touch with Dr. Szekely, and when the time came for him to retire, he reached out to see if she had an interest in buying the clinic where she had started her veterinary career. She had always dreamed of purchasing the clinic and had a great potential partner and close friend in Dr. Siens. The two of them decided to take the leap and took ownership of the hospital in September of 2020!
Dr. Bason’s professional interests include soft tissue surgery (particularly reconstructive and urinary surgery), geriatric care, and dentistry.
Dr. Bason enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her family, including her fiance Justin, children Greyson and Maeva, and dogs Buttercup, Nessie, Sergeant, Onyx and Ebony. The clinic is very much a family project, so if you hear a ruckus coming from the back office, it’s likely that Greyson and Maeva are visiting their mom at work.
